Quality management systems
The basis of our quality management systems complies with the standards of the ISO 9000 series, with which we have been certified since 1997 in different scopes (Grouped by Business Units).
Quality Management is a priority activity that we carry out through our different “Quality Management System” (QMS) based on the following fundamental aspects:
- Continuous improvement.
- Customer and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Integrated quality management.
- Process control.
- Control and monitoring of results.
- Risk management.

At Furlong we believe that quality is the result of a management that harmonizes people with adequate work practices (management systems), safety at work, respect for the environment, stakeholders consideration and risk management.
To capture the potential of our management results, we stimulate the development of improvement teams that have the authority to detect, analyze and solve problems, and we consider staff competence to be the key to success in this regard.
Our Quality Management aims to define with each client their needs and service specifications according to which an objective and an action plan are drawn up. Simultaneously, we are working on the mutation of our QMS, which in the current year will be certified under the 2015 version of the Standard.
Periodically, we carry out surveys in each operating unit to measure the performance in the application of the Quality Management System, the treatment of the products, the warehouse management, and the fulfillment of the management objectives of each operation as well as the Risk assessment of each process through a SWOT analysis that considers the entire context of our organization.
Environmental management system
The Environmental Management system allows the monitoring of procedures, written and approved, in which the environment is involved and to ensure compliance with our commitment policies in the preservation of the Environment.
Environmental Management is also a central activity that we carry out through our “Environmental Management System” (EMS) based on the following fundamental aspects:
- Continuous improvement.
- Customer and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Process control.
- Control and monitoring of results.
- Risk management.
Since July 2008 we have certified our operations under the ISO 14001 STANDARDS, recently we have re-certified under the new version of the Standard.
The scope of the Environmental Management Certificate is:
“TRANSPORTATION OF BRAND NEW VEHICLES OF AUTOMOTIVE DEPOTS, LOGISTICS AND DISTRIBUTION”.
